ITMO Students in Singapore: How to Please Customers by Analyzing Their Social Media

In future, social networks could make advertisers’ work much easier. Big Data analysis algorithms can already figure out the ins and outs of a customer’s personality. They can be used to track negative reviews, determine the customers’ desires, identify their psychological type and tailor advertisements according to each customer’s data. A group of Master’s Degree students from the Computer Technologies Department have studied this topic at the National University of Singapore.

The lecture is organized by the International Laboratory "Intellectual Technologies for Socio-Cyberphysical Systems" with the support of the Technopark Administration of ITMO University. On May 16, 2017 at 18.00 the open lecture " Digital Business Models " will be delivered by the foreign co-head of the international research laboratory "Intelligent Technologies for Socio-Cyberphysical Systems" prof. Kurt Sandkuhl, University of Rostock, Germany. The main language of the event is English.

Best Demo of 20th FRUCT Conference

The international laboratory «Intelligent technologies for socio-cyberphysical systems» took part at the anniversary 20th conference of Open Innovations Association FRUCT (April, 3-7, 2017, St.Petersburg, Russia). The laboratory presented demo, that shows coalition formation scenario for obstacle overcoming by mobile robots. The demo has been awarded as best demo of the 20th FRUCT Conference.

GoogleHashCode 2017: The Results

The final round of GoogleHashCode, Google's annual competition for students and specialists in the programming field, ended last weekend in Paris. Amongst the participants there were programmers from Europe, the Middle East and Africa; this year, students from several Russian universities, ITMO University included, also took part in the contest.
